Under 2s had a super time exploring a seaside themed sensory tray! We liked the feeling of the crispy tissue paper ‘seaweed’ & the gritty rice ‘sand’. We talked about the animals we might find in the sea & then sang some sea shanties whilst looking through our ‘telescopes’!
We were fortunate enough to be invited back to Pizza Express to take part in a pizza-making workshop! We looked at all the different ingredients we needed to make our pizzas & talked about the importance of washing our hands. We absolutely loved getting stuck in! Later on, we discussed our favourite foods & what we like to cook at home. We also enjoyed our handmade pizza as part of a picnic tea with our friends. Delizioso!
In honour of The Queen’s inspirational reign, we enjoyed a traditional British Tea Party to celebrate her majesty’s life. We made scones & decorations & ate delicious marmalade sandwiches, just like her good friend Paddington Bear. Thank you for your unwavering service, ma’am.
Inspired by our current learning theme of ‘Marine Life’, 123s thoroughly enjoyed a trip to the Oceanarium. We saw lots of different animals that live in & around the sea, including clown fish, penguins & even sharks! Our highlight was watching the penguins get their fishy lunch!
We had a wonderful visit Avon Cliff Care Home. We got to know the residents by asking them what their favourite colours & animals are. Then, we danced & sang nursery rhymes, some of which the residents told us they sang when they were little too! Thank you for having us Avon Cliff, we had such a lovely time & we look forward to visiting you again soon!
We have been learning all about South Africa, so our Under 2s class decided to junk model a cable car just like the one in Cape Town! We loved exploring all the different colours of paint & mark making with our hands & brushes.
…Thank you so much for your beautiful cards & gifts! Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated & it has been a pleasure getting to know you & your families & preparing your little ones for school! We wish them all the best on their next big adventure!
