Many congratulations to our Preschool Leavers! We wish you much happiness & success for the future! Thank you to everyone who attended the Leavers Parties, we hope you enjoyed them as much as we did! Both nurseries held carnival-themed parties, where we all enjoyed having our faces painted, playing hook-a-fish, tin can bowling & pass the parcel! We had hot dogs & ice creams & danced the afternoon away at the disco!
This week, it was Lansdowne's turn to go on a ‘camping holiday'! First, we learnt about fire safety & cooking on a campfire, then we practised how to put up a tent. We sat around the ‘campfire’ & took turns sharing our camping experiences with our friends. Later, we also discovered a dinosaur world! We loved exploring the prehistoric world & building homes for the dinosaurs out of natural materials like bark & leaves, as well as ancient castle ruins!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our amazing chef, Angie’s, bake sale for Breast Cancer Now. Your delicious cakes & generous donations raised £208.93 for the charity & we couldn’t be more proud. Well done all!
Preschool have been sharing their camping experiences around the special sensory ‘campfire' they made! Our sensory tray contained crunchy leaves & sticks, paper 'flames' & squishy marshmallows. We took turns to tell our stories & one of our friend said they always have hot chocolate around the fire, so we decided to make some & it was delicious!
We are very proud to be able to offer modern apprenticeships here at Bournemouth Day Nursery, allowing our team members to earn whilst gaining industry recognised qualifications, experience & training. She has a wonderful relationship with the children & is a valued member of our
At both of our nurseries, Preschool has been taking part in their sports days! We practised our badminton skills with Helen & then chose to do an obstacle course, as we wanted to test out some new skills! As we went around the obstacle course, we faced lots of different challenges: crawling, jumping, balancing & evening counting. We raced the clock & enjoyed every minute! We had the best time supporting our friends, cheering them on as loudly as we could & waving the flags we
Pre-school had the best afternoon at the beach! To prepare, we spent the morning learning about beach safety & stranger danger. Then, we discussed what we might need for the beach & all helped to pack our beach bags & make our picnic lunch. That afternoon, we caught the bus down to Bournemouth Beach, where we built sandcastles & paddled our toes in the sea! Later, we walked to Bournemouth Gardens for our picnic, where we were fortunate enough to listen to a live band & of cou
We have been taking part in the Big Butterfly Count & have been on some wonderful walks looking for them! 123s headed to Meyrick Park & after a quick picnic snack, went on the hunt. We used our checklists & looked in all the spots butterflies like to be; long grasses, bushes & trees & we managed to spot what we think was a Gatekeeper butterfly! Preschool made some binoculars, which they kindly shared with 123s & walked around our local area. We looked at many different things
