

Bake-Off PICLE
Lansdowne PreSchool held another successful parents' event (Parents Involved in Children's Learning & Education) last week. Andy led the currant bun making session & the children also made a selection of cakes & a mixed-up pasta play dish. Names from the meld helped start phonic sounds & some children began to copy & write the beginning of their names. Later the cakes were put on display in the pop-up cake shop & Mums & Dads became the customers as our "shopkeepers" counted o

Plant higher
Bournemouth Day Nursery Talbot Woods is taking shape with our garden refurb. Lawned area to compliment the all-weather surface, many new shrubs & bushes and we're waiting for the final plant list for the central pits, which will include herbs for the kitchen, planting & watering opportunities. The new-look area provides a secluded area for learning through play; the outside classroom. The grass just needs a bit more time to knit in.


Lansdowne Halloween parents' event
Ever popular PICLE events continue with a decidedly spooky theme. Parents involved in children's learning & education gives everyone the chance to show parents what we learn at the nursery. Ideal for sharing ideas for home learning & meeting other parents in a fun and informative way. The under 2s room at Lansdowne was decked out with spooky slime, spiders, eyes in jelly, sensory trays & plenty of paint for making our impressions of the activities and spirit of the afternoon
